This course will explore the roots of Fair Housing laws in the US, dating back to the US Constitution, Lincolns Emancipation Proclamation, the 13th and 14 Amendments to the Constitution, etc. Further, we will look at the events of the 1960's that led up to the original Federal Fair Housing laws, followed by the revisions in the 1970's and 1980's, up top the current laws today. We will review some of the interpretations and guidelines to follow.
