FAQ'S
  • I have purchased 1 class.... How do I start my class?

    If just purchased, you should be on the page My Courses (left side of page). The section My Courses will have a (1) next to it. Click on that and it will show you the class you have purchased and enrolled in. Click on that class and then click on review section to begin your class.

     

    If previously purchased, log into the system with your user name and password. you will be on the page My Courses (left side of page). The section My Courses will have a (1) next to it. Click on that and it will show you the class you have purchased and are now enrolled in. Click on that class and then click on review section to begin your class.

  • I have purchased a class package...How do I start taking a class?

    If just purchased, you should be on the page My Courses (left side of page). The section My Courses will have a (0) next to it. Click on Available Courses. Scroll down the page and on the right side you will see a list of the available classes. Check the class you want and then click the Enroll Me button. My Courses will now show a number next to it. Click on that and it will show you the class you enrolled in. Click on that class, then click on review section to begin your class

  • Can I take two Contract Law classes to renew my license?

    YES, within the 24 hours to renew or re certify, you certainly need 6 required courses, totaling 18 hours. Of that, Contract Law is one of them. Then, for the remaining 6 hours, you can take any class, any type of credit, so long as you do not duplicate a class #. The only limitation is that you may not take more than 3 hours of Motivation/Self Improvement credit.

  • My license expires next month. If I renew now, may I take classes next week for my next renewal?

    No, when you renew before your current expiration date, wait until the beginning of the next month. Any classes you take prior to your actual expiration date may only count towards this renewal, and not any future renewals.

  • How soon will I receive my renewal certificate once I complete a class?

    Upon completion, the instructor needs to review you course material before your certificate is sent. Most likely, that will be within a few hours of completion. Any class completed before 10:00 PM any day of the week, the certificate will arrive within a few hours.

  • I need the course # before taking a class to be sure I am not duplicating the course.

    According to ADRE, we are not allowed to publish or provide a course # until a student has actually attended the class.  Simply look at your current certificates, and you can be certain that any course you can take on line with us is NOT duplicated at any other school or with any other instructor. Simply look at the titles and be sure you are not duplicating any title that you attended with us on line.

  • I am already registered, but now can’t seem to log in.

    Be sure you are using the same user name and password, and remember; they are case sensitive. If you forget your password, there is a password recovery function that shows up if your log in fails.   • I received the e-mail that says my certificate is attached, but I do not see (or cannot access/open) the attachment. 

    There could be several reasons. First, if you are accessing your e-mail via the web, instead of a program resident on your computer (such as Outlook or Outlook Express), you might encounter problems.

     

    FOR: Cox Webmail

    1. Click on the e-mail to open it.
    2. In the banner above, click on Detail.
    3. You will see the attachment below, click on it to open it.

     

    If you can see the attachment, but are unable to open it, you might need to update your version of Adobe Reader on your computer. The certificate is a PDF file, so be sure to have a current version of Adobe Reader.

  • After completing the class, I did not receive my certificate.

    For Yahoo, Hotmail, Google Mail, AOL or any other web-based e-mail server, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR JUNK/BULK/SPAM folder since your server or settings might put the certificate there.


    For Yahoo often the certificate will be hidden, you once you have the e-mail open, click on "My Attachments" on the banner (usually on the left side). Follow the instructions to open the attachment.

     

    If this does not work-contact us at support@desertsageseminars.com and we will find an alternate way to provide you with the certificate.

  • I have completed my class and did not receive an email with my certificate attached

  • I can’t seem to check out once I placed a course or package in my cart.

    There are several reasons why this might occur, yet the most common is a conflict with Mac users using the Safari platform, and with those using AOL as their Internet access. Since we use Paypal for our payment system, at checkout, we move to Paypal’s site branded for us. With Safari users, sometimes that will freeze at that attempt. If that occurs, you need to clear out your cache and your “cookies” on your computer. E-mail us at support@desertsageseminars.com and we will send back the instructions to do so. Be sure to tell us your operating platform (which version of Windows or Safari) and the web browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, etc)

  • I have completed my 24 hours for CE. What do I do with my certificates?

    Go to the menu bar above and click on RENEWAL for directions per ADRE.

  • NAR Ethics class: When do I need it? What do I do then?

    The current quadrennial cycle is January 2009-December 2012. Our "The Code and the Commissioner" class will give you the required Ethics class PLUS 3 hours of Commissioner's Standards credit in 1 class. When completed, send a copy of your certificate to your local Board and they will file it with NAR for you. Use the course number for your CE credit.
